Check Your Wireless Usage (2024)

You’ll see overage charges on your bill if you exceed your plan’s talk, text, or data limits in a billing period. If you don’t have an unlimited plan, you may see overage charges for:

  • Voice: Usage is rounded up to the nearest minute. If you exceed your plan’s voice limits (and any Rollover Minutes) we’ll add Anytime Minute overage charges to your bill using your overage rate (which is charged per minute).
  • Text messages: This includes all text, picture, and video messages sent and received). Messages that exceed your message limit are charged on a per-message basis.
  • Data: Usage is rounded up to the nearest GB for all devices on your plan—when this happens, we will add overage data to your plan and charge you for it. Overage data must be used in the billing period it’s provided; it doesn’t roll over.

If you regularly see overage charges on your bill, you may want to switch to an unlimited plan. Want to see what's included with your current plan? Check yourCustomer Service Summary.

FYI: Don’t see all your calls and texts on your usage log? Apple iMessages and Android Advanced Messaging are sent over Wi-Fi or cellular network and won't show in your text logs. To record all incoming and outgoing messages in your text usage log, disable iMessage or Advanced Messaging on your device.
