Monday morning July 17th; a tragic loss occurred as we said goodbye to a very loving mother, sister, daughter, granddaughter, etc. Amanda Arnold, 28, suddenly passed on and leaves behind her 5-year-old daughter Brynleigh. Amanda JoAnn Arnold, age 28, of Hoy Road, Upper Paxton Twp, Pennsylvania died unexpectedly on July 17th, 2023, at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital.
She was born on March 16, 1995, in Harrisburg, the daughter of Randy and Pamela (Kissinger) Arnold of Millersburg. She was an employee at Thermo Fisher in Millersburg and previously worked at MI in Gratz as well as Hearth and Home in Halifax.
Amanda graduated from Upper Dauphin High School in 2013, recently earned an Associate's Degree from HACC and was actively pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from The Pennsylvania State University. She was a VFW Auxiliary life member, loved daily conversations with her mom, enjoyed hunting with her father and camping, especially at her godparent's camp (Kate and Tony Ochenrider). She loved to golf and go on beach and Disney vacations with her family and, she enjoyed buggy racing and spending time with her family and friends.
Amanda was "mommy to a beautiful baby girl" a loving and caring daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. To those who knew and loved her she was thoughtful, determined, feisty, funny, loving, caring, sweet, amazing and, so much more. Reading all the wonderful comments on her Facebook page is a testament to the lives she touched in her brief but full life. To quote a few, "God needed her more...", "..the greater plan is kinda hard to understand...", "Heaven gained a beautiful angel...", "...an amazing friend in and out in every single way", "..kind to everyone and an amazing mother", and "she will be missed".
She is survived by her parents and beloved daughter Brynleigh Pawelczyk, maternal grandmother, Carol J. Kissinger, and brother Colton Arnold of Loyalton and, aunts and uncles Lee Kissinger; Wanda Sorensen (Dennis); Ernest Kissinger (Lori); Scot Kissinger (Scott); Todd Kissinger (Shapell); Len Weller (Debbie); Ron Arnold (Lisa); and, Dave Arnold (Amy).
There will be a visitation held at Minnich Funeral Home, Inc., 1238 West Market Street, Williamstown, PA 17098 on Friday, July 28, 2023, from 10-11 AM. A memorial service officiated by Rev. William Romberger will follow the visitation.
