Eight women gather for a bachelorette party at a remote farmhouse in the California hills. As David threatened his family and hurt his loved ones, Steve was powerless to do anything about it. When Nicole stabbed David and Steve was able to regain control over the situation, he killed David and saved his family. Fear also offers a critique of patriarchy within its commentary on control.

The movie's also nicely bloody and with its lack of firearms and reliance on improvised or unconventional weaponry, we do get some fun bloody sequences including one scene with a potato peeler that will make many wince and cross their legs. Fear the Night is the definition of a "solid rental".
