Fortnite has been undergoing one of its best periods in recent memory, as with the new season releasing, there is a ton of content for players to check out
While we’re all enjoying the current season, players are wondering when OG Fortnite is going to be making a return, as Epic have noted that this is going to happen in 2024.
Now, new leaks have surfaced which indicate that if/when Fortnite OG returns, it’ll be an entirely separate game mode.
While the first major update of 2024, in the form of 28.10 has just released, players have noticed a new leak that was reported viaEgyptian_LeakerandSpushFNBR. They noted that one of the new backend files spotted during the update was related to Fortnite OG, and how Epic has been testing it out as a separate game mode, opposed to how it operated back in November.
While this doesn’t really mean anything in the scope of it all, it does perhaps give some indication into how Fortnite could be played going forward. We could see the return of other maps such as Chapter 2’s, but instead of becoming the primary map for an entire season, it would instead simply become it’s own game mode.
However, we aren’t to sure for the time being, and these leaks are just the beginning of what we can assume is going to be a long year of speculation into when Fortnite OG will make a return.
