Guide - How to Hunt Legendary Griffin Mobs (2024)

Legendary griffin hunting is one of the best ways to make money. Get one minos relic or chimera book and you have just made yourself bank. Even if you are unlucky you can still make millions off enchanted gold, feathers, and ancient claws. Today, I will teach you how to hunt them effectively.

The Gear
Legendary griffin mobs are some of the most dangerous mobs in this game. Do not even think about challenging them without at least some of the following items
- High skill average (35+, 40+ to be safe. Combat 45+ is an absolute must).
- Almost all talismans collected and some recombobulated
- About 250mil-ish coins to buy the stuff you need
- Hours to play the event. You are not going to make bank if you only play for 1 hour.

Here are the gear you need:
- Sword of Revelations
- 3/4 Necron's Armor + Tarantula Helmet or Crown of Greed
- End Stone Sword
- Overflux Power Orb (Not required, but highly recommended)
- Summoning Ring (Optional, to capture any souls you might find or to make the Gaias easier)
- Full wisdom 5 on your armor. This is required because AOTE and Ancestral Spade will cost a lot of mana, as with end stone sword and overflux.
- Soul eater is extremely helpful because the Legendary griffin mobs has very high strength which will buff your damage on the next mob immensely. Get at least soul eater 3, while the richer people should look into soul eater 4 or 5.
- Ultimate Wise on the AOTE so you can teleport more
- MVP+ (Optional, but highly helps because of the travel scrolls to DA, Castle, and Crypts)

Reforges
So contrary to what a lot of people may say, I do NOT recommend the dirty reforge. While it is in theory by far the best for DPS, I notice that its double strikes cause invincibility frames, which is not good. Therefore, I recommend the Withered reforge on your sword.

Your armor should be reforged to full Ancient because it is by far the best for damage. Having a high catacombs level helps immensely.

As for talismans, you want to have 100% bonus attack speed. Putting Mythic, Epic, and Uncommon talismans at Strange should bring you at about 100% attack speed, which is good. If that is not nearly enough, you can consider putting the other ones at Bloody. You dont really need strictly 100% attack speed so if you get 95 or something like that you should be good.

Playstyle
You want to obviously follow the particles made by your Ancestral Spade. If the arrow is red or yellow and points towards any of the Travel scroll locations, you can use the travel scroll to instantly travel there. Blah blah blah you obviously know how to do this event if you have legendary griffin so lets actually get to the mobs which is actually important. Here are the mobs:

- Exalted Minos Hunter: They have 500k health, are super slow, and have low attack damage. If you have trouble with this mob then I would say you are definitely not ready for the event
- Exalted Siamese Lynxes: The thing about these mobs is that you can only attack the one with the particle. Other than that they are pretty easy.
- Exalted Minotaur: I would say the best way is to just charge at it and live off the lifesteal. If you can't survive them that way, then I recommend getting it to 10 bleeds or so, then run off and survive the attacks, making sure to not hold the Sword of Revelations, and when his bleeds counter reset charge him again. Repeat until it dies.
- Exalted Gaia Construct: The difficulty suddenly skyrockets as the Gaia Construct introduces itself. If you have difficulty with this mob, you can try to spawn in your mobs from the Summoning Ring. They have very high health and will attack the gaia construct constantly, skipping its annoying invincibility. Also, you can use end stone sword, which makes its melee attack do no damage but does nothing against the lightning. You can just strafe around the golem while having high invincibility and live off the life steal. Its low health is good as you can kill it very quickly using the end stone sword method.
- Exalted Minos Champion: This is another difficult mob to fight. They have 12 million health, a very high damage and a very high speed. The best way is to just go for it and hope to live off the lifesteal. There is no use stalling. If it ever bows you, you need to use end stone sword and then AOTE up to it and attack it again. Its bow damage is extremely high so you can also find a wall to stand behind. Best case scenario is to combo them into a corner. This mob is the reason why 100% attack speed is important.
- Exalted Minos Inquisitor: This has more than 3 times the health of the Minos Champion but luckily it has much less damage. Its special ability makes you 40% weaker in every way. Honestly, the same rules apply from Minos Champion apply here. You need to just charge it for the best results. Comboing it into a wall or into water is easier than Minos Champion due to its low speed. Again, its bow attack is dangerous so try to stay close to it so it uses its sword. You should be able to do enough damage to kill it if your setup is right.

Thanks for reading and hopefully it helps!
