I have been teaching adult swim classes in NYC for a while. I can tell you that no perfect recipe fits everyone the same! The number of training sessions in the pool for a beginner depends on your availability and fitness level.

We all have daily responsibilities, jobs, family, and friends. If you are busy, try to dedicate at least a day per week to learning new skills in the water. You can progress even if you are swimming once per week.

Our fitness level varies. What might be overwhelming for me might not be enough for you. If you are just starting your fitness routine, consider swimming once or twice per week. If you can sustain a more challenging training routine, swim 3 or 4 times per week.
