Contrary to Kaitlyn's route to be The Final Girl, Ryan doesn't need any preparation from the first chapters of the game to achieve this. However, you'll need to kill Jacob, Nick, Abigail, and Emma before Chapter 9. While playing this chapter, Dylan and Laura must die.

When the three characters meet Silas, the White Wolf, you must shoot it at the first chance. This will kill the beast right away, lifting the curse, and saving all your characters in The Quarry.

In chapter nine, after being stabbed and running away, DON'T PULL THE KNIFE or else Ryan will die from blood loss. Additionally, the knife can be used later to stab Bobby Hackett, so he doesn't kill Ryan after the latter shoots Travis.

He is the only character you will need to get infected in the game. When given the option, do not pull away from Laura when she's about to bite you. Towards the end, he will get cured and live. If you refuse the bite, Ryan will die.

Nick may actually be the character that is hardest to keep alive throughout The Quarry, as misfortune seems to surround his fate and others. In several instances, the decisions that end in saving Nick, outlined below, will result in the death of another character.

In Chapter 9, you'll start a fight against the Hackett family. While Laura is struggling with Constance, Ryan will be stabbed by Bobby. You'll have the opportunity to remove the knife, but you'll deny this. The knife must remain in Ryan's body to survive.

Laura then notices Ryan's injuries, and he asks her how bad the injuries are. She points out that he has lot a lot of blood but she can heal him if she bites him, though that will cause him to be infected. Rejecting the bite annoys Laura, as she believes Ryan has made a mistake. Ryan is then guaranteed to die later.

Doing so doesn't kill him directly, but it will render him unable to take on his brother in werewolf form shortly after, which guarantees Bobby's death. If Ryan doesn't stab him (or doesn't have the knife to do so), Bobby gets knocked out in the struggle, but has the strength to survive the night.

What happens if Ryan kisses Dylan in The Quarry? ›

Unfortunately, the kiss decision does not impact story choices that lead to different endings. Keeping characters alive is usually determined by the player's success with Quick-Time Events and life-or-death choices towards The Quarry's ending.

If we kiss him, the exchange between Nick and Abi will end, starting the next part of the scene (you can skip to it here). However, if we don't kiss him, we'll get a little more dialogue that fleshes out Abi and Nick's relationship while still getting the option to kiss him later.

If Ryan did not shoot Chris, Jacob is not infected, and Jacob fails to choose whether to hide or run, he will be decapitated by werewolf Chris. If Jacob fails to run or hide, he will have his throat crushed. If Jacob fails to avoid the snare trap, he will mauled and torn in two.

Take the Dare as Ryan and Kiss Dylan. Be nice to Dylan in the radio shack. Resolution doesn't matter. Open up with Laura in the mines and Ryan says he like Dylan a little more than Kaitlyn.

To infect Ryan in The Quarry, Laura will need to scare Bobby away after he catches up to Ryan. Laura will then offer to bite Ryan and infect him with the curse to prevent him from bleeding out. Ryan needs to accept Laura's offer, and cannot pull away during the interruption.

While Dylan is operating the crane, he will notice something triggering the lights in the distance. Make sure he hits the horn in the crane and warn Kaitlyn. If he warns her enough, the creature will jump down the crane towards him. Succeeding in the QTE will save Dylan.

Picking TRUTH causes Emma to ask Ryan about his conversation with Mr. Hackett in the latter's office. Ryan can approach this question in two different methods: Mischievous: Ryan will tell everyone a ridiculous story about the Hag of Hackett's Quarry.
