Do you want to trade items in Rocket League? Rocket League has a large collection of customizable items to spice up your look and style. Many items were only obtainable for a limited time during in-game events, making some items hard to get if you miss out. Luckily, Rocket League allows you to trade items with other players. So if you know a player that has something you want, and you have something to offer in return, you can trade items. However, Epic Games will be removing the player-to-player trading feature on December 05, 2023, so you better hurry![1] This wikiHow article teaches you how to trade with other players on Rocket League.

Things You Should Know

  • Players must be level 30 or higher, have two-factor authentication enabled, and have purchased 500 Credits in-game. You can only trade with your friends.
  • Enable "Allow Player-to-Player trading" in the Settings menu under the "Interface" tab. Then you can invite your friends to party and offer to trade.
  • Player-to-player trading will be removed from Rocket League on December 05, 2023.

The trade restrictions are as follows:

    • This trade requirement does not count for players who purchased the game before the free-to-play update.

    • If you are invited to a party, you will receive a pop-up asking if you want to accept the invitation. Select Accept to accept the invitation.
  3. 3

Invite a player to trade. To invite a player to trade, select the player's profile icon in the bar at the bottom of the party screen. Then select Invite to Trade. This will send an invitation to the player to trade items.

  4. 4

Select items to offer as a trade. You can select up to 12 items to offer. The items you are offering will be displayed in the grid spaces labeled "Your Offering" on the right side.

    • You can filter your items using the category tabs at the top of the trade menu. Categories include; crates, decals, player banners, wheels, rocket boosts, toppers, antennas, and more.
  5. 5

Check the items the other player is offering. The items the other player is offering will be displayed in the grid spaces below the other player's username on the right below your offerings.

  6. 6

Select Accept. It's at the bottom of the trade offerings on the left side. The trade will be considered "Pending" until the other player accepts the trade.

    • Double-check the items that are being offered and make sure the trade is fair before accepting the trade. All trades are final.
    • If any items are added or removed before the other player accepts the trade, the trade will automatically be canceled, and you will need to hit Accept again.
  7. 7

Wait for the trade to complete. Once both players accept the trade, you will be given a five-second countdown. If you change your mind, you can cancel the trade during the countdown. Once the countdown is over, the trade will be completed. Both players will be notified of the items they received from the trade.[5]
