How do I get past the Old Wolf of Farron? ›

Take the lift up from Old Wolf of Farron and go up the stairs. Observe the Stray Demon boss to the left. Ignore it and go right. When you reach the dead end at the closed gate, turn right again to drop down from the broken section of wall.

The Old Wolf of Farron is the leader of the Watchdogs of Farron and inducts the player into their ranks. He bestows their medallion the first time he is interacted upon. Once within the covenant, the player can rank up and receive rewards by offering Wolf's Blood Swordgrasses to him.

The covenant can be gained by equipping the item Watchdogs of Farron which is obtained by praying to the Old Wolf of Farron to obtain the item. While a member of the Covenant and item is equipped, you can be auto summoned as a loyal spirit to defeat intruders.

The Farron Coal is a key item in Dark Souls III. Coal used for weapon infusion. Long ago, used to forge the greatswords of the Undead Legion of Farron. Give to the blacksmith in the shrine to allow the use of gems for heavy, sharp and poison infusion.

They abyss watchers are the first Lord of Cinder you will be facing against. They can be found beyond the big locked door in the Farron keep. To open this door, you will need to extinguish all three of the flame towers around the swamp. Once that's done, the Abyss Watchers can be found in the building up ahead.

Which ever one you want, both are good. Faron's gs is a one handed ugs with a fun attack that doesn't drain fp, Wolf Knight gs is a greatsword with two weapon arts that drain fp. Both are fun. Once you go into ng+ you can get the other.

Abyss Watchers is a main story boss in the game that you will encounter inside Farron Keep.

The entrance to the Farron Keep is at the bottom of a ladder coming from the Crucifixion Woods. From here, you can see that much of the Farron Keep is in ruins and the few structures that remain are the three flaming towers, which need to be extinguished to open the way forward.

It's near the back of the swamp, in the same area as the three torch door that leads to the Abyss Watchers fight. Once you found the building, there will be a long ladder that leads up. Climb it and speak with the wolf to get the token, allowing you to join the Covenant.

The Abyss Watchers are weak to Lightning Damage, though, without many offensive miracles to be found at this point in the game, casters instead will need to rely on other kinds of spells to take down the first Lord of Cinder.
