Story

Hi! I'm Wink! Could I be the missing LINK in your family?? Wink is an energetic puppy of about 5 months who is having a BLAST learning how to be a puppy who lives inside. Wink has beautiful grey and light brown brindle fur and light brown eyes. He is a sweet baby who loves humans and dogs. He can be a bit nervous meeting new people, but after a few minutes gives kisses freely! This precious boy was found as a stray, alone on the streets of Memphis and was super skinny and hungry! Now he enjoys three meals a day and is putting on weight. He eats from a slow feeder bowl, he tends to eat fast which may be from not having food available to him on the streets.Wink loves having a four legged foster brother to play with all day, he loves to chase and wrestle, and learn the ropes. He is doing great with crate training in the short time he has been with us and walks well on a leash. He sleeps all night in his crate with no issues and stays in the crate when his foster is away from home, and does not seem to have any separation anxiety.Wink would do great in a home where the adult is home a good bit of the day to help with his training and he would love another playful dog in the home to learn from and play with. He is very curious and is having fun learning what toys are and what things aren't toys. Wink would make a wonderful and fun addition to your home!!Name: WinkBreed: Pit Bull Terrier/CrossbreedSex: MaleAge: 5 months as of June 26thWeight: 15.0Spayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforced.Vaccinations: Puppy vaccines will be up to date - all vaccinations required after adoption are the responsibility of the adopter.Heartworm: Too young (testing is done at 6 months of age)Housetrained: YesMicrochipped: YesDogs: YesCats: unknownKids: Over 7 would be best.Location of dog currently: MemphisTNPuppy Adoption Fee: $550.00 (includes a spay/neuter surgery rebate of up to $200.00 to be paid to the adopter when proof of spay/neuter is provided to Paws New England). This requirement is for the benefit of you and your puppy, so if you experience behavior issues, you have a point of contact.PLEASE—Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours at a time until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so important in this puppy's life.
