Release The Kraken (2024)

Release The Kraken is the fourth puzzle in Virtual Villagers Origins 2.

Requirements[]

• The Crafting Hut must be repaired
• Adept/master builder
• Two villagers who are both master/adept builders and master/adept gatherers
• Level up in your building technology

Steps[]

1. Gather water
   • To gather water, you must first have repaired the Crafting Hut
   • Next, drag a villager to the three empty buckets next to the bag of seeds near the research table
2. Give the bucket of water to a villager to cool the rock ("the Kraken's eye")
   • You can "give" villagers objects by dragging and dropping them onto the crafting hut and selecting the item wanted from the pop up window that appears
   • The villager will then automatically take the water to a rock that's been heated by lava next to the dining area. This will cool the rock
   • If you give the villager oil instead of water they'll take the oil to the Kraken statue, which can then be lit by giving a villager fire from the crafting hut to take to the Kraken statue. This is not essential for this task though, it's actually part of a later task
3. Take the cooled rock to the Kraken statue
   • After cooling the rock with water, quickly drag a villager onto the rock, the villager will then automatically take the rock to the Kraken statue
   • If you wait too long, the rock will reheat and you'll have to redo the process, including getting another bucket of water
4. Install/repair the Kraken's eye
   • Drag a villager onto the Kraken statue and they will repair the Kraken's eye
   • This villager must be an adept or master builder
5. Take the other eye to the Kraken statue
   • The other Kraken's eye is not hot, so you can drag a villager directly to it and it will be taken straight to the Kraken statue
   • The other Kraken's eye is another rock to the east of the island next to the large tree, below the reeds
6. Install/repair the Kraken's other eye
   • Drag a villager onto the Kraken statue and they will repair the Kraken's other eye
   • This villager must be an adept or master builder
   • Afterward, villagers will begin to notice a rumbling from the south
7. Move the Heavy Stone
   • The rumbling is coming from the Heavy Stone which can be moved by two adept or master builders and gatherers
   • If you only use one master builder, it will simply say they need help to push the stone
   • To move the Heavy Stone, first drag one master/adept builder to the stone, and then another immediately afterwards
8. When the builders remove the stone, a large portion of the water will be exposed and the Kraken will break through the rest, achieving the Release the Kraken puzzle
