The Treasury of the Lost Ancients will test your combat skills against the most formidable sea-based foes the Sea of Thieves has to offer.

You’ll need to fight through waves of enemies to gain access to the bounty of treasure stored in these underwater forts! But not before conquering the final wave, which contains a Treasury Vaultmaster!

The Treasury of the Lost Ancients is one of three different Treasuries in the Sunken Kingdom. You’ll find a Treasury in each of the three original regions in the Sea of Thieves.

While each Treasury has a distinct look and feel, each has similar completion requirements and offers the same coral rewards!

So prepare to battle against waves of enemies to unlock the vault and escape with the treasure!

How is the Treasury structured?

Each Treasury has a holding room that you will first enter. In this room will be supplies, an Ammo Chest, and an Armoury. There will also be a Siren Window barrier that leads into the central part of the Treasury.

As soon as you enter an active Treasury, the battle will begin.

You will fight alternating waves of Ocean Crawlers, Coral Gunpowder Skeletons, and Sirens. The water level in the Shrine will rise and lower depending on which foes you are battling.

The Treasury contains crucial supplies that will aid you in battle. Be on the lookout for Tridents of Dark Tides, Gunpowder Barrels, and lots of food stashed away in Resource Barrels.

Treasuries are balanced to your crew size. This means they will be much more manageable for smaller crews.

After completing a dozen or so waves of Ocean Crawlers, Coral Skeletons, and Sirens, you will have to complete the final wave, which contains a Treasury Vaultmasters.

A Treasury Vaultmaster is a stronger version of one of the regular enemies. You can quickly identify them by the orange nameplate above their head!

Once you have completed the final wave, the vault will open to reveal a massive haul of treasure.

Treasury Reset

Once you have completed the Treasury, the vault will remain open for about four minutes. After that, the vault will close, and the Treasury will flood with water. The flooding of water will cause the Treasury to become inactive for a short period before it is active and ready to be completed again!

While it is inactive, the swirling purple and blue lights will be missing above the Treasury.

Where is the entrance to the Treasury of the Lost Ancients?

You can find the entrance to the Treasury of theLost Ancientson the North side of the Treasury.

Once you are at the base of the Treasury, you’ll find several small Siren Windows that lead into the Treasury. Damage any one of the pink Coral Orbs to break the barrier and enter the Treasury.

How to complete the Treasury of Lost Ancients

To complete the Treasury, you will need to defeat all waves, including the final wave against the Treasury Vaultmaster.

If you die during the battle, you will spawn in Treasury near Siren Window that leads into the main fighting chamber.

After 12-14 waves of enemies, the large wooden door on the East side of the chamber will open.

Store all the loot inside the vault in the Treasure Mermaid Statue and then return to your ship to collect it all.

Where is the Breath of the Sea in the Treasury of the Lost Ancients?

You can find the Breath of the Sea in the Treasury of the Lost Ancients in the the vault of the Treasury. To reach the Coral Plinth where the Breath of the Sea sits, you’ll need to complete every wave of the Treasury and defeat the Treasury Vaultmaster. Beating every wave will open the vault and reveal the Breath of the Sea treasure.

The Breath of the Sea will only be there if you are on an active Coral Message in a Bottle voyage that leads you to this Shrine.
