How do I find someone's Telegram channel? ›

From within a channel, tap on the title of the channel at the top center to reveal some tools. Tap on the Search tool. Now tap on the person icon. A list of channel members will come up, you can either tap on the user whose messages you want to find, or you can manually enter their user name.

Searching for People on Telegram

Tap the magnifying glass icon in the top-right corner. Type the person's user name in the search bar and tap the person you want to add. If they're in a group chat with you, tap the group's name. Select the group member you want to add, then tap the message icon.

On your Android smartphone, open the Telegram app and tap the search button from the top-right corner. Now, type in the name of the Telegram channel that you want to join and select it from the search results. This will open the Telegram channel.

Open Telegram, at the top left, there is a search icon. Click on it and you will be able search ID or phone number. Hope it helps.

Private groups and channels do not appear in Telegram's search results. You can only join a group or channel if you have an invitation link. Group administrators or existing members often share these links. Once you have the link, you can click on it, and it will open Telegram.

How do you identify the owner of a Telegram group you're a member of? You'll have to either look at the group info in the hopes that they've listed the creator and admins there or do a more time-consuming method: scroll through the members list and watch for the “Creator” tag to the right of one of the names.
