Appreciate the offer, but I just meant I'd give you some of the seeds. No need for trade. Do you ever get to Austin? The red ones are large, and I'm afraid they'd break up in an envelope. I'm going to go to Green Gate in Seguin soon.... Do you ever shop there? I could leave them for you. If not, I'll try to send them in a bubble envelope. I was given mine by a fellow DGer a few yrs ago, but they were sent in an envelope and most were smashed into pieces.

You have quite an impressive list of seeds!

Thanks bigbubbles for the generous offer! Unfortunately, I am not in Austin often and work daily in San Antonio. I have been to Green Gate once and really enjoyed it, but probably won't be going back anytime soon. So I guess the bubble envy is the route to go. I'll dmail my addy to you. I forgot this was a thread and not d-mail. It probably would have been more appropriate to put that seed list in a d-mail! Oh well...

It's your thread and you can write nearly anything you want to! I really was truly impressed with your seed list. I didn't inherit the "organizational" gene. The few seed varieties I save are in pill bottles or envelopes. I have good intentions, but ususally misplace them...or give them away. I'll go check d-mail and get back to you...

I actually have that seed list ready for the piggy seed swap that happens each fall, otherwise I probably wouldn't be that organized! Keep an eye out for it next fall (I think it's full now) it really is a lot of fun and has been a great way for me to grow a lot of different plants for my yard really cheap!

Watch out if you have dogs or kids because the plant is so poisonous.

Thanks jujube, my kids are all grown (baby is 14 y.o.) and I have no dogs. Is it just the beans that are poisonous or the plants as well?

I have heard that the plant is somewhat poisonous but not as bad as the bean.

However, tomato plants are poisonous since the are part of the nightshade family but that doesnt deter many people. I hear that even the green tomatos are a little poisonous before they ripen which is funny cause we eat green tomatos pickled and fried.

I had not heard that about tomato plants and green tomatoes. Interesting and funny! Have you ever heard of cats eating the castor beans or plants? Usually cats are smart enough not to eat stuff that's not good for them...

We have over 100 plants in our yard that are poisonous. If you left out the ones that are it wold be a pretty dull garden.

Yep, you see a lot of common plants on the poison list. It is a wonder we ever grew up!

I guess maybe our folks taught us not to go around sticking things in our mouth that we knew nothing about! Probably right after they taught us not to run out into the street or step in ant mounds! 8-)

This is a picture of mine taken yesterday. For the last 3 years I have planted a new one in this spot. They always die in the winter and yes, the stump is a chore getting out of the ground. I think I just left the last one...just cut it off at the ground. This year I am going to mulch it with hay and leaves and see what spring will bring.
