The Amazing Benefits of the O-Shot® and What to Expect After Treatment (2024)

With aging, certain outcomes are inevitable. Most women report vagin*l dryness, urinary incontinence or a lowered libido as they grow older. If this is you, we have great news! All that is about to change after you read this article.

With the amazing O-Shot® technology (commonly referred to as an org*sm Shot), no longer will you have to live life with these frustrating symptoms.

What is in the O-Shot®?

This org*sm therapy treatment uses PRP (platelet-rich plasma) harnessed from the patient’s blood. The injection has been widely successful in treating a range of age-related symptoms. This PRP shot is inserted into the vagin* and cl*tor*s while the patient is under local anesthesia. Thus, the process is simple and painless.

Aesthetic Gynecology Specialists of WNY is a trusted practice in Buffalo, WNY that offers this novel therapy for women facing such symptoms. Our licensed doctors practice under the strictest levels of medical safety. Above all else, your comfort is our highest priority. We leave no stone unturned to give you results that you’ll absolutely love.

What is the O-Shot® used for?

This treatment uses platelets from the blood that are nutrient-rich and have medically proven enhancement abilities. Besides treating vagin*l dryness and urinary incontinence, the treatment also stimulates tissue growth and improves the health of your sexual organs, thus contributing to a better org*sm.

How the O-Shot® Treatment is Performed

During your session, about 6-8 ccs of your blood is to be drawn using a venipuncture. Venipuncture alludes to the medical procedure wherein a blood sample is withdrawn from a vein. Using a centrifuge and designated FDA approved tubes, the blood is processed via spinning, thus the PRP in the blood is enhanced and extracted into a syringe. With that, the first step is effectively completed.

Moving into the main portion of the treatment, your doctor will numb the vagin*l and cl*toral region (numbing cream and local anesthesia) and inject a certain amount (1 cc) of the spun PRP into your cl*toral glans.

Following which, the remaining 5 ccs are injected under the vagin*l skin around the G-spot area. The best part of this treatment is that it lasts for only about 1 minute. More than one injection can be administered if the doctor deems it necessary for your symptoms. Patients report either no pain at all or just a quick pricking sensation that subsides quickly.

What Are the Biggest Benefits of the O-Shot®?

Patients have reported the following post-treatment benefits:
Enhancement in libido and sexual desire
Heightened vagin*l and cl*toral sensitivity contributing to a stronger org*sms
Decreased urinary incontinence
Improved vagin*l lubrication
Reduction in pain during intercourse
Increased ability to experience a G-Spot org*sm
Enhancement of skin on the vulva
Treatment of lichen sclerosis which is a condition where the skin on the vulva may itch and this can possibly lead to atrophy

How Long Before the Results Manifest?

Sexual function improvements from the O-Shot® have been estimated in 75-95% of women! Within days after the treatment, most women report a noticeable improvement in their sexual arousal and org*sm intensity. The full effects of the treatment will most likely manifest after 3 months. Your doctor may suggest undergoing re-treatment if the initial results aren’t as pronounced.

The effects of the treatment last for anywhere between 1 to 4 years, and when this wanes, many patients opt for re-treatments.

What Are the Side Effects of the O-Shot®?

Since this treatment focuses on injecting the patient’s own PRP back into their system, complications, if any, are rare. However, since the PRP has to be processed after extraction, it’s highly essential that the doctor maintains a sterile environment throughout. If the PRP is contaminated, re-injection will be compromised.

These procedures are highly sensitive, so don’t take a gamble. This is why we strongly recommend approaching a trusted and licensed doctor for your org*sm therapy treatment.
