CCP Admissions Checklist (New Students)
- Apply to Tri-C
- Determine Eligibility and Placement
- Submit a high school transcript, middle school grade report and/orqualifying ACT or SAT scores to the CCP coordinator at your chosen campus.
- Eligibility for CCP depends on eligible test scores from a state-approved exam (i.e. ACT, SAT, ACCUPLACER or ALEKS) or a cumulative, unweighted 3.0 GPA. Students in the 11th through 12th grades with a cumulative, unweighted GPA of 2.75-2.9 will also be considered eligible.
- For college-level placement, students in the 11th and 12th grades with a cumulative 3.0 GPA DO NOT NEED TO TAKE AN ENGLISH PLACEMENT TEST.
- Students in the seventh through 10th grades or those with less than a 3.0 GPA must take an English placement test. Read more about theTri-C English and math placement tests.
- Students who have completed 10th grade or higher can be placed into college-level English with a 3.0 GPA.
- Student should also review the My Online Readiness Experience (M.O.R.E.) module on Blackboard prior to enrollment.
- You will receive your acceptance letter via email, which will include theregistration instructions.
- At that time, you must also complete the virtual CCP student questionnaire.
- You will not be accepted into the CCP program until your transcripts and eligible test scores are submitted.
Returning CCP Enrollment Steps
- Completethe Tri-C Authorization to Attend Formwith your school counselor/school approver.
- Once complete, you willreceive an email instructing you to make anappointment with your assigned Tri-C academic counselor to ensure the courses you’ve chosen will fulfill your degree or certificate requirements. Counseling appointments are virtual.
- Register for Tri-C courses online.
Private and Home-Schooled Student Information
Students attending a private high school and home-schooled students must apply to the Ohio Department of Education to receive funding to underwrite their costs and send a copy of the funding letter to the College. Once complete, the College provides discounted tuition and book fees to home-schooled students. View the Home-School Student Information sheet below. For academic year 2024-2025, the funding application is due April 1 to the Ohio Department of Education.Tri-C will take applications beyond this deadline.
Early Admissions
Tri-C offers an Early Admissions program for high school students who have missed the Intent to Participate deadlines, are not eligible for CCP or would like to take a class for personal enrichment. Early admit students have a self-pay option only. Also, early admit credits are not reflected on the high school transcript.

Continuing at Tri-C after CCP is easy! Get started at Tri-C as a traditional, full-time student before transferring to your four-year college. You don't need to reapply.

Public high schools are responsible for paying the college tuition costs of their CCP-enrolled students via deductions from their foundation funding from ODE. The maximum tuition rates colleges are allowed to charge for CCP are set in Ohio law and are generally lower than tuition rates for traditional students.
