Drillers 6, Naturals 5
The Tulsa Drillers scored two runs in the bottom of the 10th inning to rally past the Northwest Arkansas Naturals on Wednesday night at ONEOK Park in Tulsa.
Diego Cartya's bases-loaded walk tied the game at 5-5 and Tulsa got a run-scoring single from Austin Beck for the game-winner.
Northwest Arkansas scored a run on Peyton Wilson's RBI single leading off the top of the 10th for a 5-4 lead. But Tulsa rallied for the win in the bottom of the inning.
The Drillers forced extra innings on Taylor Young's two-out RBI single in the bottom of the ninth to tie it at 4-4.
Trailing 3-1, Northwest Arkansas scored a run on a bases-loaded walk by Diego Hernandez, then got two more on a sacrifice fly by Tyler Tolbert and a throwing error by Tulsa center fielder Jose Ramos.
Tulsa grabbed a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth as Young walked and Dalton Rushing singled. Both runners moved up to second and third on a passed ball charged to Naturals catcher Luca Tresh. Both scored on double by Brendon Davis to give the Drillers a 2-0 lead.
Northwest Arkansas scored a run in the fifth as Gavin Cross walked, stole second and scored a single by Tresh. But the Drillers added to the lead thanks to a two-out, RBI single from Cartaya in the bottom of the sixth.
