Diesel returned as Dom for Fast X last year, and the franchise is now gearing up for the conclusion of the Fast Saga story with the , which was previously thought to start filming next year.
Diesel now shares a new video on social media, suggesting that some preliminary filming on Fast & Furious 11 may already have started. The video, which is included below, features the actor standing in front of Brian's (Paul Walker) orange Toyota Supra.
“Another incredible day of shooting," Diesel says in the video. "For all of you that really, really know the Fast & Furious franchise, you can only imagine what this car evoked. That was the first car I came across in this franchise and needless to say it holds a special place in my heart. All love, always.” It's worth noting that Diesel doesn't specify that the filming he's referring to is for Fast & Furious 11.

Audiences Probably Haven't Seen The Last Of Paul Walker's Brian O'Conner
Paul Walker tragically passed away in 2013 during the filming of Furious 7, but his character of Brian O'Conner remains alive in the world of the films. While flashbacks of Brian from Fast Five appeared in Fast X last year, the character was last teased during the present timeline at the end of F9, when his blue Nissan Skyline pulled up at Dom's house. With Fast & Furious 11 set to potentially be the final installment in the franchise, it seems likely that the film will honor Walker in some way.

Regarding Brian's role in future films, Diesel said in an interview last year: "I couldn’t imagine this saga ending without truly saying goodbye to Brian O’Conner." After Walker died, Brian's remaining Furious 7 scenes were filmed by using Walker's two brothers as body doubles and digitally replacing their faces with Walker's. If Brian does return in the upcoming installment, it seems likely that this same method will be used once more.
Unlike with Furious 7, however, which featured Brian throughout the entirety of the story, a return by the character in Fast & Furious 11 would probably be more of a cameo at the end. Digitally recreating actors, after all, is wildly expensive, and keeping the appearance brief would also ensure that it doesn't step on the toes of Furious 7, which already gave the character a powerful sendoff. It remains to be seen how Brian will factor into Fast & Furious 11, but audiences can evidently expect his Toyota Supra to make an appearance.
