Characters on a free account have 3 bag slots unlocked, characters on a paid account (core game or with either expansion) have 5 bag slots unlocked. Additional bag slots can be unlocked through the Gem Store purchase on a per-character basis, for a total of 14 bag slots per character.
Crafter's backpacks are a group of craftable back items with six different skins for each crafting discipline. Like all leveling equipment, they are account-bound with slightly better stats than standard for their effective level and item rarity.
Normally, a 20-slot bag will cost 10-12 gold. This may seem unobtainable for a lower level player. However, there are less expensive ways to obtain 20-Slot bags. You may get a 20-Slot Uncanny Jar for a few hundred Karma and doing a few easy events by completing the Uncanny Canner collection.
The straps are used for applying the texture of a higher level back item skin onto lower level characters. One would equip the Backpack Straps, open Hero panel, select Wardrobe, select the Back Item slot, and then select the skin they want to display.
Jacaranda and Lynx are now top dps. The former shines with better burst, aoe dmg and survivability, but in long single target fights Lynx tends to pull very slightly ahead (it should also be better against high toughness targets).
The Material Storage tab holds up to 250 of each item. This capacity can be increased by purchasing up to 9 Material Storage Expanders, for a maximum of 2,500 items per stack. It contains space for: Basic Crafting Materials — Raw harvested materials used as the base for a wide variety of crafted components.
To find and collect them, simply look on your map for the green Backpack symbol, head there, and listen out for the "blip" sound they make when you're near. Once you find one, simply approach it and press Triangle when prompted to collect it. What are Backpack Tokens used for?
Add an additional character slot to your account. Character Slot Expansion is an account upgrade available from the Gem Store and bundled with Deluxe or Ultimate editions of some expansions. It adds one additional character slot to your account, up to 69 character slots in total, including the original ones.
