I just recently decided to use my level 80 boost. Now though I’m torn between a couple of the dye packs. I’m not sure which one I want. Now I’m definitely not wanting anyone to tell me which to choose. I’ll make my own decision but……

Which dye pack did you choose when using your boost…..and are you happy with your choice?

Haven’t use my L80 Boost, but I have several Celebratory and Jubilant Dye Packs (maybe 10 – 12?) in the bank. I’ve yet to decide on which dyes I want, but from the few I have used, I chose some Enameled Dyes and one or two from the Bloodstone Dye Pack.

I am happy with them, because I tried them out before choosing.

Some chose (back when the Celebratory Dye Pack was first released) based on cost, so Electros were very popular. Here’s a list (with current values):

Good luck.

Depends about what dye-pack we talk. I used my 4th year Jubilant Dye Pack on:
Shadow Dye Kit => Shadow Abyss Dye

I never owned a black dye in all the years and now I have the purest, most expensive in the game. Big thanks to ANet \o/

When I get untradeable dyes I usually look for my basic preferences which are mostly red, gold and metal-colors. Then I check which are the best looking ones and then I pick the most expensive of those. In some rare cases, if I get access to very exclusive dye-packs, I pick pure colors.

dulfy-effect: Knowledge is power. But without fame, you are just a freak.

The Level 80 boost comes with the Celebratory Dye pack. I found this wiki site to be very useful in making a decision. It gives the names of the dyes you can choose from that pack and the current prices. That way you can preview the dyes that it has from your dye wardrobe to get the best dye for you before opening up the dye package.

Personally I have found the enameled dyes to be best overall for depth and richness and the electro dyes for when you want intense bright colors.

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.

Back when the dye pack gifts first came out I spent a long time previewing my locked dyes on various materials and typed up a list of which dyes I needed from each pack, in order of preference, and have added to the list as new dyes entered the game. So now as birthdays come I look at my list. If I am pressed for time I go for the next one on the list, if I have time I do a little more previewing and TP cost checking first.

Got 5 5th bdays coming up in August, I’m looking forward to the wealth of optionsGuild Wars 2 Forum - Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns (1)

Thanks everyone for your thoughts on this. I just wanted to hear others opinions. And yes, just a flesh wound, I’m probably going to pick an enameled or electro color. Interestingly enough those are what I’ve been going back and forth with. :-D
