Why is JPay not accepting my payment? ›

The most common reason for transaction failure is a mismatch between the payment information you've provided to JPay and the information your bank has on file. Be sure to check the information closely and enter your name, address and other information EXACTLY as it appears on your bank statement.

Does JPay let the inmate know who sent the money? ›

JPay does not have access to an incarcerated individual's account balance or transaction activity. Will the incarcerated individual know who sent him/her the funds? In most states, the incarcerated individual is notified as to who sent the money. In other states, this information is not available.

How long does it take to get a response on JPay? ›

Most Incarcerated Individuals receive their email within 24 to 48 hours, and many can respond electronically as well.
