The Last of Us is a Zombie-apocalyptic game, and it has some disturbing zombie creatures, like stalkers and bloaters, with blossomed head and brain. You can bash in enemies' heads by smashing them against a wall. This game has some scary moments like sneaking around places or trying to stay quiet.

“The Last of Us” is rated TV-MA for severe violence and gore, intense or frightening scenes and profanity.

Parents need to know that The Last of Us is a zombie apocalypse action-drama series based on the video game of the same name. It has a great deal of violence, carried out with firearms and blunt weapons, resulting in bloody, gory, graphic deaths of humans -- including children -- and infected beings.

The game contains some sexual content: a couple disrobing and briefly engaging in a sexual act; the couple is heard grunting/moaning as the screen turns black (depicted from the waist up with female toplessness). Some zombie creatures are depicted with exposed breasts and genitalia.

Gripping suspense and action…

Very good story and lots of gripping action. It really immerses you into the story and gameplay. Hence why I think kids 13-16 that are mature will enjoy the game and the story and not be bothered with the fake mutant things or the violence encountered to survive (which makes sense).

Cutscenes also depict intense acts of violence: a young character dying in a man's arms from gunshot wounds; adult characters being executed at point-blank range; an enemy getting interrogated and stabbed in the knee. During the course of the game, a character makes sexual remarks about an adult magazine (e.g., "Whoa.

The recommended age is 17 or older, because of the adult themes in the story. I took a look at the last of us to see exactly what it's like. It features violence, gore, heavy swearing, drug and alcohol themes. It is a great game, however.

Extreme violence and gore, much like the original. Violence is very often and extremely brutal and gory. A character gets shot in the head. This is sudden and the game shows his face with the hole of the bullet full of blood.

It has an adult rating for a reason, though. Graphic violence, bad language, adult themes.

The Last of Us is an intensely focalized game. The narrative techniques centered on this too, delivering purposefully complicated characters whose actions were angled not only at the challenges in front of them but toward a broader set of emotional concerns.

If you are into a little suspense and plot twist you will enjoy this movie. It also has a lot of "Easter Eggs"(hints, clues that suggest deeper meaning) But because of the killing, blood, a few curse words, and one boy have severe burn scars on his face I would say 13 years and older.

The creepily addictive thriller, which first aired on Lifetime but is getting a second season thanks to Netflix, is dark, twisted, and gripping . . . but it's definitely not one for kids to get engrossed in.

Easily good for a 14 year old, and most 13 year olds should be fine. There is only one scene in the book that I would be worried about for a 12 year old, but let's be real here; if they're a reader they've probably read it all in another book already, if not just simply hearing about it in school or in movies.
