Are You READY?

Creativity Unlocked: Exuberant Paper Pack | Design Paper (3)The Exuberant Paper Pack has a great variety of colors and patterns, which are all perfectly sized for cardmaking projects. But did you know that you do not have to use design paper just for backgrounds? Today I have 2 fun ideas to stretch your supplies and get a unique look!

Card Idea # 1 With Design Paper – Die Cut an Image

Have you ever die-cut design paper into an ‘image'? Today, I made a vase for my flowers using one of the Versatile Vases 2 Dies. I added a little dimension by blending some Silver Lake ink around the edge, but you could easily skip this step if you prefer.Creativity Unlocked: Exuberant Paper Pack | Design Paper (4) Today's cards are both delicate and pretty, but I think that may have something to do with the beautiful bouquets which came from the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Delicate Garden. For this design, I did some simple Artist Marker coloring.Creativity Unlocked: Exuberant Paper Pack | Design Paper (5) I also added a sentiment from the Bold Sentiments Stamp Set.

BONUS IDEA!

You could easily create a repeated pattern using die-cut design paper. Imagine adding multiple die-cut stars to the front of your card, or what about a patterned frame for your flowers!

Have you ever added a design directly onto the design paper? This is one of my favorite things to do – simply change up the paper or the colors you use, and it will look different every single time.Creativity Unlocked: Exuberant Paper Pack | Design Paper (7) I added color by ink blending with the coordinating stencils for this bouquet, but I have also used Artist Markers and Woodless Coloring Pencils with great results too.

PRO TIP!

Choose design paper that isn't ‘too busy'. You still need to be able to see the image and it's also nice to see the pattern through the coloring.

1 Product, Multiple Ways!

Before you go, here is one more card idea featuring this paper pack!

Creativity Unlocked: Exuberant Paper Pack | Design Paper (10)Aside from the techniques mentioned in this blog post, you can also make your cards more festive by die cutting your stamps on the lively paper pack. Amp it up with some white embossing, a fun sentiment, and some enamel dots – you'll be golden!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you like my floral cards! Will you try using Design Paper on your next project? If you will, comment down below what kind of techniques you'll experiment with!
