How to farm Sugar Cane AFK. Works pretty well for an AFK method so please don't remove it hypixel!

EDIT: BEFORE YOU BUILD THIS. I AM WORKING ON A NEW DESIGN THAT PRETTY MUCH DOUBLES THE SPEED OF THIS FARM. Please be patient the new design should be out soon, the new design will be 2x as efficient with less lost sugar cane. Vid on my channel soon!

couldn't you use tp pads to make it faster as you you can adjust head movement with it

I tried the TP Pads but there are 2 issues with them:
1: You can only have 16 of them so that would mean you could only have 8 rows.
2: Whenever you hop onto a TP pad with a pig it pulls you off the pig.

That really depends on how confident you are in the Hypixel team. I don't want to tell you to fill your island with this just for it to get patched the day after. Let's say the Hypixel team doesn't remove it, then I would suggest making it as long as possible. The more rows you make the more sugar cane will grow back when you make your way back to the start. It's also really important that the sugar canes are 3 high or you might lose out on potential profits, so try to make it as long as you are willing to go really.

Geez man, this is actually really smart. I have a few questions tho

1. What's the purpose of the slabs/whole block on top of the water stream? Cuz if those aren't necessary then u can put a single hopper on each end of the water stream and boom nearly lossless.
2. Idk if this is a thing in 1.8.9, but in 1.15.2 I know that u can place water streams directly beside cane and it won't break if u can position blocks and the cane correctly. Does cane break when water flows by it? If it doesn't, I might be able to either engineer a redstone solution or figure out a way to be able to have the water and cane on the same level to make this possibly lossless.
3. Is it possible to get afk kicked from this?
