You'll need to make several vital choices across all ten chapters in the game to obtain this achievement and ensure everyone lives in The Quarry. But beware, as danger lurks around every corner and one wrong choice could set your character up for failure later in the game. How to Save All Characters - Chapter 2

When controlling Emma and checking a store with Jacob, pick up the shotgun and the fireworks from a safe. This is the only thing you need to do in Chapter 2, as it will help you later in the story.

It doesn’t matter what you do in the Prologue or Chapter 1. While some decisions could be key for some particular characters if they are alone, following these steps will help you in keeping everyone alive in a single playthrough.

How to Save All Characters - Chapter 3

In Chapter 3, Emma and Jacob will have a conversation near a lake. After the dialogue, Jacob will be left alone and he’ll hear Abigail screaming. If you stole the rotor arm in Chapter 1, there will be a choice between going to help Abi and diving into the lake to find the rotor arm — Jacob thinks he lost it in the water.

You can select any of the two, but if you go to the water you’ll find a piece of evidence. However, Jacob will get one of his hands trapped underwater. Choose the option “detangle” and he’ll be free. Don’t let the timer go up or he will die.

Later in the chapter, when controlling Jacob again, you should be nice to the hunter that caught you and avoid the option of throwing dirt at him. Therefore, Bobby will paint your face with blood, which will repel werewolves in some chapters.

How to Save All Characters - Chapter 4

At the very beginning of Chapter 4, part of the group will be attending Nick near the fire. Ryan will hear a noise coming from some bushes, and you’ll have two opportunities to shoot your gun. You must avoid this the two times, letting the timer run out — if not, Jacob will die.

In the next scene, you’ll play as Emma while she explores another part of the land alone. No matter what you do, you’ll end up inside a building, hearing noises from an unseen beast.

Here you’ll have the choice to open a trapdoor or search in a bag on your right. Search that bag and Emma will pick up a taser. You’ll have to use it right away when a werewolf comes down from the trapdoor. Take a photo (it’sa piece of evidence), complete the next QTEs, block the door, and go through the trapdoor. Do the last couple of QTEs and the scene will change.

After you finish with Dylan, you’ll have the last scene of the chapter with Emma. Reel the zipline quickly and then use it — you’ll escape from the beast.

How to Save All Characters - Chapter 5

There are only two scenes in Chapter 5 where you should pay special attention. After Kailtyn’s scene, you’ll be back to Nick and Abi. Here you can hold your breath when Bobby’s around or fail and let Nick deal with the situation, choking the hunter with a QTE.

Then, in the last scene, when you are inside a hut with Dylan while controlling Ryan, you should help Dylan create the sound device he wants. This will repel the werewolf attacking them. However, Dylan will get bitten in the process. Here you need to use the chainsaw to stop the infection.

If you don’t use the shotgun, Dylan won’t die. However, he’ll become a werewolf later in the game and make this playthrough much harder.

How to Save All Characters - Chapter 6

Chapter 6 is the first one in which you can kill a significant number of characters. When playing as Jacob, it’s important that you complete every QTE correctly. This way, he will throw Emma and save her from the werewolf, and he’ll manage to escape from it by the end.

However, during his last scene here, he’ll fall into a bear trap. It’s important that you select the option to open the bear trap, or he’ll fall and die with another bear trap around.

Later in the chapter, Kaitlyn, Ryan, Dylan, Nick, and Abigail will meet Laura. While most of the group is speaking with her, Abi will be interacting with Nick. Here it doesn’t matter what dialogues you choose, but you must shoot Nick with the shotgun. If not, he’ll turn into a werewolf and kill Abi in a few seconds.

When controlling Emma again, you can either run or hide while looking at Bobby and Jed. What’s important is that you select the option to pick up the fireworks when you get the chance, so you can use them when the beast jumps into you — preventing Emma to get infected.

How to Save All Characters - Chapter 7

Chapter 7 is only focused on Laura, Max, and Travis, and nobody can die in it. However, you should follow some steps so you avoid the murder of a counselor in the last few chapters.

First of all, be kind to Travis in every dialogue and avoid anything that can confront him. Then, as Laura, you need to interact with your bed to find a spoon and create a small place to store something in one of the walls. When you get to explore the whole station, you need to find a syringe from the lockers inside a room upstairs. This object has a sedative, and you will hide it in the spot you created before.

In the last scene of the chapter, Laura will pretend her stomach is hurting a lot. Travis will open the cell to check her, and here you need to choose the sedatives as an option. This way, Travis will be locked in the cell but not angry with Laura, and she and Max will be able to escape.

How to Save All Characters - Chapter 8

When playing as Ryan in the last scene of Chapter 8, you need to avoid opening the electrified cages that contain Jacob and a beast. Also, you must interrupt Laura, or she’ll shoot the creature, who’s actually Nick in his werewolf form.

If during your scenes with Emma you get her infected, she’ll appear inside a van while playing as Kaitlyn. Here you need to shoot her when she gets out, or she will kill Abi. You’ll have to shoot her one more time to avoid Emma attacking Dylan and Kaitlyn. Finally, don’t use silver bullets or you’ll kill Emma for good.

How to Save All Characters - Chapter 9

Chapter 9 is a big one, full of possible deaths. Right at the start, it doesn’t matter if you kill Constance while she’s struggling with Laura — you won’t kill Laura either way. However, when Bobby stabs Ryan, you have to leave the knife or Ryan can die at Bobby’s hands later. It’s also important that you block Bobby’s path when you can and you stab him.

After stabbing Bobby, Laura will appear near a weakened Ryan. Here you have the chance to accept a bite from her, and you have to accept it. Otherwise, Ryan will die in his next scene.

It doesn’t matter what you do with Jed in his scene. He can’t kill Laura.

Next, you’ll control Dylan and Kaitlyn while they are exploring a scrapyard, looking for parts. As Dylan, you’ll get inside a crane, trying to move a car. It’s important that you warn Kaitlyn when you see a werewolf coming, and that you complete every QTE. Then, use the horn to attract the beast to Dylan and complete the QTEs to use a lighter against it, saving Dylan in the process.

You’ll have a short scene with Abigail and Emma (whether she’s infected or not). As Abi, interact with the fuse box on the wall in front of you and she will pick up silver bullets, an important item for the next chapter.

Finally, you’ll come back to Laura and Ryan. A big battle will take place after you meet Chris Hackett in beast mode and the floor below you breaks. Here you only need to shoot Chris as Ryan, which will kill the beast and lift Laura’s curse, preventing her to get killed by Travis.

How to Save All Characters - Chapter 10

The last chapter has multiple ways of killing our protagonists. For example, at the beginning of Chapter 10, you’ll play as Max for the first and last time. You only need to select “stay” so he waits and the island and don’t swim to the shore — a werewolf is waiting for him there.

When playing as Kaitlyn and Dylan, you need to run when the beast appears. Escape by the beam, it’s all good as you complete all the QTEs. Then, when you get the chance to “investigate”, use it. By doing so, Kaitlyn will pick up the silver bullets that Abi and Emma will give to her. Now it’s time to shoot the werewolf and save these four characters for good.

You can get the Nobody’s Fool by telling the truth to Emma as Jacob when that scene plays.

Moving to our last protagonists, Ryan and Laura, you should keep both of them alive during the driving scene with Travis by following the QTEs, don’t taking or interrupting anything, and giving the blood to Ryan.

This last choice only matters if you’re planning to kill Travis in the last scene.

When the three characters meet Silas, the White Wolf, you must shoot it at the first chance. This will kill the beast right away, lifting the curse, and saving all your characters in The Quarry.
